Former Bulldog INF/OF Brings Versatility and Power After Standout Freshman Campaign
Clemson Baseball’s offseason roster shuffle continues to heat up as Georgia freshman Bryce Clavon announced his transfer to the Tigers. The dynamic infielder/outfielder from Stockbridge, Georgia, is the latest addition to Erik Bakich’s program, marking Clemson’s fourth transfer of the summer—and the second position player after Sun Belt Freshman of the Year Tyler Lichtenberger committed late last night.
Clavon arrives at Clemson with plenty of promise and versatility. At Georgia, he saw limited action in 27 games during his freshman campaign but made the most of his opportunities, posting a strong .333 batting average and an eye-popping 1.207 OPS. In just 15 at-bats, he collected five hits, including a double, a triple, and a home run—good for a .733 slugging percentage and a .474 on-base percentage.
The former Bulldog also showcased his potential on a national stage, participating in the 2024 MLB Combine, where scouts took notice of his athleticism and bat speed. His ability to play both the infield and outfield adds a valuable layer of depth for Clemson, particularly as the Tigers look to replace departing production and reinforce their lineup for the 2026 campaign.
Clavon’s addition shows yet again Erik Bakich’s aggressive approach in the transfer portal, as he looks to build the 2026 Clemson Baseball team. Clavon joins a growing transfer class that also includes infield standout Tyler Lichtenberger, providing Clemson fans with reasons to be excited about the upcoming season in 2026.
