Camie Westerman is a Tiger
Clemson Gymnastics continues to build momentum on the recruiting trail, landing its second commitment in the 2027 class with the addition of Camie Westerman out of Hill’s Gymnastics in Gaithersburg, Maryland.
Westerman, a former Junior U.S. National Team member, took her official visit to Clemson this past weekend before announcing her pledge to the Tigers. She also made official visits to Cal and Auburn earlier this year but ultimately chose to become a Tiger, joining Emree Hofseth, who committed just last night, as the second member of Clemson’s 2027 recruiting class.
Westerman holds an impressive competitive resume at the elite and Level 10 level:
2024 Combs la Ville International: 2nd Team, 3rd All-Around, 1st Vault, 2nd Bars
2024 Junior U.S. Nationals: 3rd All-Around, 2nd Vault, 3rd Beam & Floor
2024 Junior Pan American Championships: 1st Team
2024 American Classic: 2nd All-Around, 1st Vault, 2nd Floor
Her power on vault and consistency across all four events make her a highly valuable addition for new co-head coaches Justin Howell and Liz Crandall-Howell, who have quickly begun shaping Clemson’s future classes.
With Hofseth and Westerman now committed, Clemson’s 2027 class is off to an excellent start and the Tigers look poised to continue making waves on the recruiting trail.
