Joelie Berelc is a Tiger
Clemson Gymnastics has added another major piece to its future, with Joelie Berelc committing to the Tigers as part of the class of 2027. Berelc, who trains at Brandy Johnson’s Gymnastics in Clermont, Florida, is the third pledge in the class, joining Emree Hofseth and Camie Westerman.
Berelc made her decision after just two official visits, to Clemson and Georgia, ultimately choosing to continue her career under co-head coaches Justin Howell and Liz Crandall-Howell in Tiger Town.
A decorated Level 10 gymnast, Berelc’s résumé speaks for itself. At the 2025 Level 10 Nationals, she finished 2nd All-Around and 2nd on Bars. She followed that up with a standout Regionals showing, taking 2nd in the All-Around and on Uneven Bars, and 3rd on Vault and Floor. At the 2025 State Championships, Berelc claimed the Vault title and finished 2nd in the All-Around, building on her dominant 2024 State Championships performance where she won Beam, Bars, and the All-Around.
Berelc’s commitment gives the Tigers another versatile and high-achieving recruit as Justin Howell and Liz Crandall-Howell continue to build Clemson into a destination program for top gymnasts across the country.
