Tigers come in as the No. 11 Seed
The Clemson Tigers have just learned their fate for the NCAA Baseball Regionals. After a tough 14-4 loss to North Carolina in the ACC Championship Game, the Tigers are ready to turn the page and look ahead.
It wasn’t the smoothest finish to the regular season for Erik Bakich’s club. Clemson has gone 8-9 over its last 17 games, a stretch that started back during the NC State series. Clemson did put it together in Pitt, and made a run in the ACC Tournament that finished yesterday. But none of that matters now. Everyone is 0-0, and the opportunity to make a run is sitting right in front of them. That’s the beauty of postseason baseball, wipe the slate clean and see who steps up when it matters the most.
Clemson has been announced as the No. 11 seed and will host the Clemson Regional. They’ll open play against the South Carolina Upstate Spartans. The Kentucky Wildcats and West Virginia Mountaineers have been selected to the regional. The Tigers know what they’re capable of, and this is the moment where everything comes into focus. There’s no looking back, just forward.
Let’s see what this group can do with a fresh start.
