Dre Quinn Decommits from Tigers
Clemson’s 2026 recruiting class took a hit as four-star EDGE Dre Quinn out of Buford High School (Ga.) announced his decommitment from the Tigers.
The 6-foot-4, 230-pound pass rusher originally committed to Clemson over Texas earlier this summer, becoming the 19th pledge, at the time, in what was shaping up to be one of the nation’s strongest classes. Ranked No. 263 nationally, the No. 26 EDGE, and the No. 29 player in Georgia per the 247Sports Composite, Dre Quinn brought length, athleticism, and upside to Clemson’s future defensive front.
However, Quinn recently took a visit to Tennessee while still committed, something that goes against Dabo Swinney’s long-standing policy that Tiger commits cannot take other visits. That decision ultimately led to Quinn backing off his pledge.
Quinn’s decommitment now opens the door for other programs to re-enter the race for his signature as he re-evaluates his options.
