Clemson LHP Ethan Darden Enters Transfer Portal
Clemson left-handed pitcher Ethan Darden has officially entered the NCAA transfer portal after an up-and-down junior season marked by injury. Darden, junior from Rock Hill, South Carolina, began the year as the Tigers’ Saturday starter, making nine starts and posting a 4-2 record with a 6.08 ERA before a triceps injury sidelined him for much of the regular season.
Though Darden was medically cleared and available for the Clemson Regional, he did not appear in any games during the postseason. The junior southpaw now seeks a fresh start elsewhere, hoping to regain his form and contribute to another program’s pitching staff. His departure leaves a gap in Clemson’s rotation as they look to reload for next season.
