Matt Luke reels in another!
Welcome to Clemson Carter Scruggs
Clemson has landed a major piece for its 2026 offensive line class, as four-star standout Carter Scruggs has officially committed to the Tigers. Scruggs, who made his visit to Clemson this past weekend alongside several other high-profile recruits, appears to have been locked in during his time on campus, according to sources.
Originally, Scruggs had intended to take visits both this weekend and the next. However, those plans never came to fruition, as he was clearly ready to pull the trigger and commit to Clemson.

With his pledge, Scruggs becomes the sixth offensive lineman in the Tigers’ 2026 recruiting class, a group being carefully constructed by Matt Luke and his staff. Early in the year, sources indicated that Clemson was targeting two more high school offensive linemen to round out the class. Those spots now appear filled with the additions of Leo Delaney last night and Carter Scruggs this evening.
As noted in last night’s write-up on Delaney, there was already strong momentum behind Scruggs’ commitment to the Tigers. Tonight, that momentum has officially turned into a major recruiting win for Clemson.
