Julia Scott is a Tiger
Clemson Women’s Basketball just landed another major piece to its 2026 recruiting class, as forward Julia Scott announced her commitment to the Tigers. The No. 25 overall player in the ESPNW rankings chose Clemson over Michigan and Notre Dame, giving head coach Shawn Poppie and his staff yet another recruiting victory.
“It honestly just felt like home the second I walked on campus,” Scott told Rivals. “The coaching staff is amazing, the girls are amazing. I just felt like it was the right place.”
Scott is now the third top-50 prospect to join Clemson’s 2026 class, joining No. 27 Kimora Fields and No. 45 Meeyah Green. Together, the trio represents one of the most talented classes in program history and signals that Clemson is becoming a serious player on the national stage.
Known for her versatility and physical presence in the frontcourt, Scott brings a mix of scoring, rebounding, and defensive toughness that should fit seamlessly into Poppie’s system.
This commitment is yet another sign that Poppie’s vision for Clemson Women’s Basketball is gaining traction quickly. With three top-50 recruits already locked in, the Tigers are positioning themselves to compete at the highest level in the ACC and perhaps nationally.
