“I want to win the Joe Moore award, and a National Championship”
Leo Delaney is a Tiger!
Clemson continues to build momentum on the recruiting trail, this time landing a major piece for its 2026 class. Four-star offensive lineman Leo Delaney has officially committed to the Tigers following an impactful visit to campus over the weekend.
Delaney, one of the top linemen in the 2026 cycle, came away thoroughly impressed by his experience in Death Valley. Speaking with him shortly after his commitment, Delaney made it clear that Clemson’s culture left a lasting impression.
“What Clemson did to stand out was just their culture and how all of their players want to stay there,” Delaney said.
The commitment is another major win for offensive line coach Matt Luke, who continues to pull in top-tier talent for the future of Clemson’s trenches. Delaney fits the mold of a high-motor, high-character competitor—something the Tigers have prioritized in this cycle.
Asked what fans can expect from him, Delaney didn’t hesitate.
“Expect to get a competitor,” he said. He also shared some lofty personal goals: winning the Joe Moore Award—given to the nation’s top offensive line—and helping bring a national championship back to Clemson.
Delaney repeatedly emphasized the importance of team culture in his decision, highlighting the close-knit bond shared among the Tigers’ players. “How well the players treat each other as a family” stood out as a defining trait of the program.
According to sources close to the situation, Delaney has locked in his commitment and is solidly in Clemson’s corner. And based on the buzz surrounding the Tigers’ recent official visit weekend, he likely won’t be the last big name to join the fold.
