The Tigers are adding another arm to the mix.

Tennessee left-handed pitcher Michael Sharman has committed to Clemson, marking the third pitcher head coach Erik Bakich has picked up out of the transfer portal this offseason as he looks to reload the Tigers’ pitching staff.
Sharman, a Woodstock, Georgia native, brings valuable experience from the SEC. Last season with the Volunteers, Sharman posted a 3.18 ERA with a 3-1 record over 17 appearances, including three starts. He worked 22.2 innings, striking out 25 batters while showcasing a steady presence both out of the bullpen and in spot starts.
His flexibility will be a big asset for Clemson, whether it’s to provide left-handed options in the bullpen or to compete for starts as the Tigers look to replace innings lost from last season.
This marks the third pitcher Bakich and the Tigers have added out of the portal this offseason, emphasizing the program’s commitment to building depth on the mound as they aim for another postseason run. For Sharman, it’s a chance to return closer to home while continuing to develop with a top-tier ACC team.
