From All-American Honors to Record-Breaking Numbers, Clemson’s Senior Star Leaves Her Mark
When Maddie Moore stepped onto the diamond for her final season in a Clemson uniform, she did so with a purpose and a bat that refused to cool off. Now, as she wraps up her storied career, Moore has earned one of the sport’s highest individual accolades: NFCA All-American honors for the second straight year.
The National Fastpitch Coaches Association announced the 2025 All-America teams on Wednesday, and Moore was right where she belongs, among the nation’s elite. It’s a well-deserved recognition for the Tigers’ second baseman, who not only led her team in nearly every offensive category but also added another page to the Clemson record books.
Crushing Records and Expectations
Moore didn’t just play well this year, she flat out dominated. Her .411 batting average and 79 hits turned heads, but it was her 71 RBIs that made history, setting a new single-season program record. She also launched 17 home runs, the most ever by a Clemson senior and the third-most in school history.
Extra-base hits? She had 32. Slugging percentage? A staggering .771. And while pitchers feared her power, she still managed to swipe 11 bases and draw 21 walks. When she wasn’t clearing the fences, she was doing the little things right, which was crossing home plate 61 times and keeping pitchers guessing all season long.

Moore Than a Bat: A Glove and a Leader
But Maddie Moore wasn’t just an offensive powerhouse. In the field, she was as reliable as they come, with 103 putouts, 90 assists, and nine double plays to her name. Whether it was flashing leather or firing bullets to first, Moore anchored the infield with poise and precision.
The Loomis, California native brought more than just stats to the table. She brought leadership, experience, and an undeniable energy that lifted the Tigers all season.
One Last Dance in the Super Regional
In her final appearance as a Tiger, Moore delivered once again on the big stage. During the Austin Super Regional against Texas, she went 4-for-12 (.333), drove in five runs, hit a home run, and scored four times. Her presence was felt even as her career came to a close.
A Clemson Legend Forever: Maddie Moore
With back-to-back All-America honors and her name scattered across the Clemson Softball record books, Maddie Moore isn’t just leaving, she’s leaving a legacy. She became only the sixth All-American in program history, and her contributions will be remembered long after the cleats are hung up.
Clemson Softball will sure miss No. 28, but one thing is clear: Maddie Moore has forever etched herself into the heart of this program. And Tiger fans definitely won’t forget the second baseman who played with fire, fought with heart, and finished out her career with greatness.
